15 June 2010
PRACE (the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) allows researchers from across Europe to apply for computing time on the PRACE resources via a central peer review process. This call is the first PRACE Regular call for Project access, inviting applications for high-end (Tier-0) computing resources to carry out projects which have high scientific quality and impact. JUGENE offers computation power of one Petaflop/s and is one of the fastest computers in the world (number 5 on the latest Top 500 list of world’s most powerful computers). The term Petaflop/s means computation efficiency of 1015 floating point operations per second.
The deadline for submission of proposals is 15th August at 1600 CEST. The PRACE on-line system will not accept proposals submitted after 1600 CEST on 15th August. Applicants to the 1st PRACE Regular call can only submit proposals for project access. For information on the types of access, please visit www.prace-project.eu/hpc-access.
