Open Access week 2011

During the International Open Access Week (24 October to 30 October) NWO organises a brainstorming session on data sharing in public private partnerships and Open Access. This meeting is for NWO and ZonMw colleagues who deal with project funding concerning data sharing and PPS.

One million euros for open access journals

NWO has made one million euros available for setting up open access journals or for the conversion of existing journals to an open access model.

NWO supports project for open access books

NWO is making a one-off investment of 360,000 euros in the Dutch successor to the OAPEN project, Open Access Publishing in European Networks. The funding of this project falls within NWO's open access policy.

New Open Access initiative from NWO

From 2011, scientific conferences which devote attention to open access can count on a financial contribution from NWO of up to 2500 euro. The funding is for sessions which draw attention to the importance of publishing in publications that are accessible to all. The benefit of these sessions is that the importance of open access is brought directly to the attention of the target group (the researchers).
