International activities
Chemical researchers have their international network. In addition, Chemical Sciences/ACTS actively seeks cooperation in international initiatives to bring together excellent researchers in chemistry. International cooperation is essential to safeguard the strong international position of Dutch chemical research. The quality of excellent research groups in chemistry in the Netherlands is further strenghthened by interaction and cooperation with excellent researchers from all over the world. To reinforce cooperation, ACTS has taken the initiative for and participates in the following ERA-nets:
- Applied Catalysis European Network (ACENET)
- ERA-net Industrial Biotechnology (ERA-IB)
To contribute to the European vision and strategy in chemistry, ACTS is involved in SusChem, the European Technology Platform Sustainable Chemistry and BIOCHEM.
In the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between NWO and the National Science Council (NSC) of Taiwan, ACTS and the NSC are collaborating in a joint Taiwan-Netherlands program in catalysis.
