EUROCORES

EUROCORES staat voor de ‘European Science Foundation Collaborative Research Programmes Scheme.´ Een EUROCORE is een subsidievorm van de European Science Foundation (ESF). Met dit instrument wil de ESF multinationale samenwerking in Europa stimuleren. De ESF telt 78 leden (Member Organisations) uit 30 landen: academies, onderzoeksorganisaties en onderzoeksfinanciers, waaronder NWO.
Onderwerpen voor EUROCORES kunnen bij de ESF worden aangedragen door onderzoekers zelf, de leden, door ESF-commissies (standing Committees) of expertgroepen (Expert Groups). De ESF werkt een potentiële EUROCORE uit en legt deze voor, aan de aangesloten onderzoeksorganisaties. Zodra minimaal 4 organisaties uit 4 verschillende landen het voorstel goedkeuren, zet de ESF een Call for proposal voor onderzoekers uit.
