The divisional board has incorporate the National Research Cruise Programme into a national programme for marine and coastal zone research from 2009 onwards.

Application

Who can apply

Applications can be submitted by qualified researchers in the field of seagoing research. They must have research experience and supervise the research for which a grant is requested for the full duration of the project.

What can be applied for

The Research Cruise Programme accepts applications for a number of days on board of the national research vessel Pelagia. Besides ship time, support for expedition costs is offered via the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ-MRF), which is an NWO institute. In addition to this, personnel costs for 1 PhD or postdoc position can be applied for. Applications for Research Cruise Programme may only be submitted through the ZKO programme.

An application can be submitted for use of a voyage already financed by a third party on a foreign ship. With this a request can also be submitted for technical support from NIOZ-MRF and support for a PhD or postdoc position can be included in the application. These so-called applications for non-permanent workers can be submitted through the ALW Open Programme.

When can be applied

This subsidy is closed for applications.
